Yeah! That's exactly it....I don't normally get to mail stuff to say Bolivia which I recently did...It gets some smiles at my little local post office, that's for sure!
Plus a little personal contact with distant and exotic lands and friendly people.

I know it's slower for those farther down the list, but I agree with Richard.  It hasn't been more than 2-3 bucks for me to mail overseas, and it's kind of fun to see something from Poland, Croatia, Sao Paolo, or the isles arrive.

I agree, splitting makes for confusion searching and remembering what's due to arrive...They get around faster than they did IMHO now than they did under the email bidding system. Plus it sort of puts a virtual wall across the world, it's friendlier when you don't know where you are sending next..And its only a few dollars more after all! Or are we only in it for the money? LOL.

Whatever you guys wish, I suppose. But part of the vine system we employ makes searching for them easier and I feel that splitting them will make that end more confusing.
Whatever...

I think at this point all we can do is learn how to things differently in the future.

As a possible model for future vines of this sort: When I receive the vine, I could burn two (2) sets, and then send one to the next EU\UK recipient and one to the next US recipient. And we just send them in the order listed disregarding those not in the country the vine is traveling in.
i.e. those in the US disregard all EU\UK recipients, and those in the latter afore mentioned disregard all US recipients.

MR. SKULL

Well...
I'm not one to complicate things and, tho I can see some of the efficiencies mentioned in this thread regarding vines crossing the pond, I think having two branches for every vine will end up complicating the system. My opinion is that a single vine is easier to track, and easier to search. I guess I'd rather see single vines where an occasional shuffling of names occurs (with the agreement of the participants, of course).
As this vine is already enroute to Europe, it does make a bit of sense to have it make the rounds a bit there. The vinage as posted lately is:

Chris US << Bart << mr. skull << Richard-UK << Milhouse-US << white rabbitt-US << Nick Ullmann-UK << Scott Burnett - US << Joseph-US [EMAIL PROTECTED] << Guy-US  [EMAIL PROTECTED] <<

With the vine on it's way to Bart, and if all are amenable, it could be amended to:

Bart << mr. skull << Richard-UK << Nick Ullmann-UK << Milhouse-US << white rabbitt-US << Scott Burnett - US << Joseph-US [EMAIL PROTECTED] << Guy-US  [EMAIL PROTECTED] <<

This is merely a suggestion; it's really something the vine participants need to decide for themselves...
My 2 cents,
SOFA
