Siska,

I prefer to say we all ARE enlightened beings, but that some of us just don't
realize that yet...

We all live in the world of forms and all forms are illusions in the sense that
they are not the individual things they seem to be but are actually empty
information forms manifesting Buddha Nature like individual waves manifest
water. The waves are merely empty information forms that arise in the water.
Their true nature is not different individual waves but water. But they are
also the individual information forms of the waves as well. It's seeing the
whole ocean as it actually is that is realization. Similarly it is seeing all
individual things of the world as empty wave forms manifesting the 'water' of a
single ocean of reality each in its way that is realization, that is seeing the
true nature of things....

Bill believes that only a perfectly still ocean is real Zen, and that no waves
actually exist. But the ocean of reality is never still. One can still one's
consciousness in meditation but around us the waves still move.... This belief
is an impediment to the great koan of using the world of forms to find the
ocean and to realizing Zen 24/7 in the world of forms....
