Mike and Joe,   ...and, well, okay...Edgar too,

I agree with this.  I sit (zazen - shikantaza) about 4 times a week in the 
morning for two twenty-minute sessions.

When my schedule is interrupted, especially for a week or so, it doesn't take 
too long before I can notice the difference.  But as Mike said it is easily and 
quickly restored.
