PS (Jim had written me privately a number of times after he resigned from this
board, and told me he was getting some welcome acceptance at some gay websites
he frequented, although I don't know if it had to do with his view of Buddhism.
His aim, though, was to try to put "out there" his "discoveries", he called
them, of ways of practice that are very speedy in bringing on the dawning of
light for a person. It all seemed technologically-based. He wanted, as he
wrote, for these methods to be "recorded". His emphasis on speed was due to
his worsening heart condition. He was concerned about his immanent demise, but
his concern seemed almost as if there were a date-certain. I hope he lives a
long life and can get his stuff out there. Let others be the judge of its
worth).
