Hi,

I’m trying to loadbalance Exchange 2013 through Zen Load Balancer. I’ve
configured a TCP farm with port 443 to one of our Exchange 2013 servers.
Outlook Web App works fine, the problem is with Outlook itself and Outlook
Anywhere. Launching Outlook when Zen Loadbalancer is in between takes about 50%
more time (9 vs 15 seconds) than when connecting directly to Exchange. Also
switching between mails in Outlook is more sluggish compared to a direct
connection to Exchange. Currently I’m the only one connecting through Zen so
it’s not a capacity issue. I’ve tested this under Hyper-V 2012 R2 and vSpehere
5.5 with the same results.

Any idea why it’s (so much) slower?

Thanks,

Franc.
