Hi Robby , there is not a best configuration for SSL traffic or other kind
of farm, it depends what you want to do and what architecture you have.

If you want to keep the entire communication in ssl mode and persistence by
IP is enough for you then L4 is your best option in my point of view.

In the case you need to evaluate request or to read headers, then you need
a HTTP profile.

As you can see it will depend that you want to do.
