Great idea! The hardest part of this is fitting it into the UI. We
plan to solve this problem for 1.1. I made a ticket to track the

I've got the situation where I've discovered a network using zendisc.
So, I have a number of devices, e.g. 20, under /Devices/Discovered.
Now, I might know that all those 20 devices are located in London,
but to specify that I'll have to drill down 20 times and add that
Location information to each device.
I might know that 5 of those devices form the VOIP Telephone
System, but to specify that I'll have to drill down into 5 Devices
to add that.
It is similar with groups.
There is a mechanism to move Devices around the Class Hierarchy,
i.e. /Devices/Server, /Devices/Server/Solaris, etc which is nice
and easy to use. You select the appropriate tick boxes and there is
a drop down box with the "Move To" button.
I was hoping a similar interface could be implemented. Once more
the admin would select the tick boxes (hopefully the same ones as
above) and then there could be two drop downs, the first a list of
"attributes" that can be set and the second a dependent list of
values (dependent of the value of the first box).
The purpose of the suggestion was to reduce the amount of Page
transitions and user input that would be required of an
administrator when s/he was setting it up.

Not sure I understand this. Do you want zProperties that inherit to
a device down Location, etc? Or a way to associate devices with
Location, etc.
