Hi Josh,
Once you have changed hostname, you will want to remove the
localhost.localdomain device and add the device back in using its
external IP address. You may need to restart snmpd so that it, too has
the new name:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/snmpd restart
-Eric

Using Zenoss VM 1.0--Whenever I try to change the hostname (via
etc/sysconfig/network & setup etc/hosts) the hostname changes ok, but
when I log into Zenoss I get a ton of Zenoss Infrastructure problems
on the dashboard, all refering to "localhost.localdomain", with
zenstatus not starting--even when I try to manually restart it. Is
there something on the zenoss end that I need to change? What am I
missing?
Josh
