Hi Juergen,
If this is a new installation, and you do not wish to preserve anything,
remove $ZENHOME and restart install.sh.
You will need approximately 300Mb free to load the data into the database.
Otherwise, you can try this:
$ python $ZENHOME/Products/ZenModel/zenbuild.py -u $MYSQLUSER -p
$MYSQLPASS
Where MYSQLUSER and MYSQLPASS are the username/password for the events
database (the defaults are zenoss/zenoss).

to get svn or any package on the appliance use the conary command
like this...
conary update subversion
you can search the repository with
conary rq subversion
You might want to put the trunk on your own OS install instead of
using the appliance...

Guys,
This is done in the trunk. :) You can add comments in the log tab of
an event detail. Also if an event is acked or deleted the user that
did it is automatically logged.

This is sort of there (I opened a ticket a while ago for it). If
you go
to the events list every one has a magnifying glass with a '+' in
it over on
the right. Clicking on that will bring up a window and at the top

a tab that says "Log". You can add comments there.
What I would like to see is to have another icon in the list that
looks
like a little note to signify that there are notes on the event
(so if the
icon doesn't exist then there are no notes on that particular
event.
