Okay... A follow up to my previous post... I found that if I added a line to my custom script that simply out "finished" that made the timeouts go away, and Zenoss was happy...
Now, I just added a new device and certain messages from it are sent to Zenoss with double quotes. Now my script breaks again... lol... Anything tricky I can do with these??
