Since your Zenoss server must be accessible to the folks view the maps (otherwise the popup graphs wouldn't work), I'd suggest installing weathermap on the zenoss box and generating the map there - you can always copy the generated HTML and .png if you really need to, but it's probably simpler that way around.
rrdtool actually has a 'server mode' that allows you to update and read rrd files on another machine, but last I looked it wasn't very well locked down.
