Bump 2

The parsing error is that you specify the arguments as 

argument value 

in the config file rather than --argument=name on the command line & you also 
need to give the 'binary' options a (dummy?) value so 
logorig 1
in the config file
NOT 
--logorig=1

Now has anyone got zensyslog to listen on a different port - I have set the 
syslogport value in the config file but it still listens on port 514. I have 
even put a line in the perl to print the valu out & it is right & even changing 
the explicit value in the perl script STILL doesn't change the port it is using 
(I commented out the bit getting the value from the services file)...

Any suggestions...
(this is to work around the fact that it doesn't print the IP address of the 
sending host...)
