Sorry, I'm about all out of ideas.  You can try and model the device from the 
command line of the zenoss server...although I'm not sure if you'll get much 
more output than what you're seeing in the gui. 

Anyway...from the zenoss server as the zenoss user:

zenmodeler -v10 --force -d Bayside_RTR

Keep in mind that "Bayside_RTR" must be the EXACT name that you've used to 
create the device in zenoss...otherwise the script will not work.  So if you 
used the FQDN, you need to use that in lieu of just the hostname. 

If it doesn't work, please post the exact output.  Also, what class have you 
created this device in?  Depending on what class it's in...different Collector 
Plugins will try and model the device.
