Hello thutchis, additional to my previously post:
I install your batch now as Windows-Service (using srvany.exe and instsrv.exe) with setting "No interaction with Desktop" and start automatically with Windows-Start. This will supress the dos-box and run complete in backround and play sound every critical event arrive in Zenoss.
