Hello friends,

This is Nishith Vyas from INDIA.

I am working as a Sr.System Admin.(IT) in a Govt.Organization & i would like to
install "zenoss" for my Network Operations Setup.

Before that,i tired many NMS(Network Monitoring System) on my Linux Platform
i.e. nagios, openNMS,Centreon,Monitorix,nedi etc....

But, my general problem in my setup is "Problem to get Remote Server Data"
without installing "Agent" or "Client" software,which will fetch all data from
Node & Give it to Centralized Monitoring Server.

Now, i want to try use "zenoss" for my NOC. Below is my Setup.

* 3 nos. of IBM P6 Series High End Servers with AIX 5.3 release 6 installed
with Oracle 10g Application Server.(web Server)

* Almost 10 Client computers,using IBM Workstations.

* RADWARE Load Balancer.

* Cisco 2960 Switch.

* Juniper 550 Firewall.

* HP Rack Server,installed with HP-Unix OS & Oracle 10g Database.

All Devices & Servers are in a same LAN & Internet Traffic comes in through
Juniper firewall only. I can pinf all devices by sitting any of the Computer as
i have mentioned.

Now, I need to know below things before installing "zenoss"

- zenoss will work without installing any type of client tool to fetch data
from remote servers & network devices?
- I have configured SNMP on all Network devices,so nothing to worry about
network devices.
- If zenoss will work without client tool, which type of data i can get from
AIX & Hp-Unix Servers? If i want to monitor

CPU Usage, Memory Usage , Swap Usage, Network Card In/Out traffic & Total
Processes without installating client, Is it possible?

One thing is sure that I have already had a good fight with Nagios,openNMS &
Centreon since long time & now i need easy user friendly NMS solution.

Will zenoss will do that?

Kindly Reply.

Thanks in Advance.
Nishith Vyas
