There are plans, which are to make the 0MQ API look as much as
ordinary sockets as possible.  My own stance is that whatever the 0MQ
community decide is what happens.  In the extreme case (or even
experimentally), you fork the project, add your own designs, and then
lobby others to support them.  If there is sufficient support, new
designs will go back into the core.
