Introduction ASSOCHAM is glad to participate as Co-Host, for the first time, in the First China Sichuan-South Asia Economic & Trade Cooperation and The 5th Western China International Economy & Trade Fair. The Western China International Economy Fair is the Second Largest Annual event in west China after Canton Commodities Fair in Guangzhou, China. This Fair & Forum serves to enhance the exchange and cooperation of China, specially the western China with countries all over the world. The event is sponsored by the: China Council for the Promotion on International Trade Overseas Chinese Affairs Office under state Council China People's Association for the Friendship with the Foreign Countries All China Federation of Industry & Commerce Chinese Supply and Marketing Cooperatives Sichuan Provincial Government The forum along with the fair is being organized in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, PRC, which is a Silk Route since decades for India and Trade hub for India being close to Nepal & Tibet. Chengdu is very centrally Located in China. The Trading commodities include: Automotive Mineral Exploitation Heavy Industries IT Chemicals Retail Construction Food and Beverages Transportation Agriculture Environment Protection Machinery small and Medium Size Telecommunication Pharmacy , etc. Business Opportunities The Government has announced recently several favorable policies for the companies who want to do business and trade and want to set up their bases in this region, which includes one year Office space free and cash support for one year including several Tax benefits.
