[ZESTPoets] This Be The Verse, and This be the Re-Verse

This be the Re-Verse
 
They dream you up, your mum and dad.
  They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the dreams they had
  And add some extra, just for you.

But they were dreamt up in their turn
  By dreamers in old-style dresses and shoes,
Who half the time were  dream-burnt
  And half the time salving their blues.

Man hands on dreams to man.
  It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get  real as early as you can,
  And don't have any illusions yourself.
