Hello Jane,
Sorry for the delayed response on your Well poem. I
really liked the imagery. The disembodied heads
somehow reminded me of that famous Raghu Rai image of
Bhopal, where the father dusts back the earth to have
one last look at his buried child…

also the other one of the falling splash pulling the
sky down into the well. It is almost like if you were
doing a watercolor then the way you would take the
color off the sky with a wash, and perhaps guide that
fluid mass into another area of the picture plane. 

Actually the nature of reflection on a water surface
is such that it offers endless possibilities. The very
fact that what appeared as a seamlessly ‘real’
surface can rupture and show up its ‘virtual’
nature at the mere touch of a ripple…
