Note: The first Loquations meeting for January 2006 will be held on the second Tuesday, 10th January.
 
 
10th January:  The Long and the Short of It.
One long poem and two short poems will be read and discussed. What is the link between them? Presented by Adil Jussawalla.
 
17th January:  Writers Ralph Nazareth and Richard Crasta:
Fellow-Mangaloreans, and two of the three authors of a forthcoming book of reminiscences, they will be talking about their very different lives as writers mostly living away from India. Ralph is an old student of Bombay University and of Nissim Ezekiel.  He has taught poetry and creative writing to prisoners in a pretty tough prison in upstate New York. He is also a convenor for a poetry group in his town of Stamford (Ct.).

13th January: Poetry Circle.
Meets at Kitab Mahal, DN Road, 4th floor. 6.0 - 8.0 pm. An opportunity to read your own poems and have them critiqued. Bring about 6 copies.

16th January: P.E.N. reading by Smita Agarwal. Her book ‘Wish-granting Words’ was published recently by Ravi Dayal.
