I too see checksum errors ocurring for the first time using OpenSolaris 2009.06 on the /dev package repository at version snv_121.
I see the problem occur within a mirrored boot pool (rpool) using SSDs. Hardware is AMD BE-2350 (ECC) processor with 4GB ECC memory on MCP55 chipset, although SATA is using mpt driver on a SuperMicro AOC-USAS-L8i controller card.
