Actually, you can't do that. You can't make a vdev from other vdev's, and when it comes to striping and mirroring your only choice is to do it the right way. If you were REALLY trying to go out of your way to do it wrong somehow, I suppose you could probably make a zvol from a stripe, and then export it to yourself via iscsi, repeat with another zvol, and then mirror the two iscsi targets. ;-) You might even be able to do the same crazy thing with simply zvol's and no iscsi...
