The fishbowl is missing some core functionality. They just don't work efficiently. That's why people still prefer mailing lists (though they suck, too, but to a lesser degree I think). We'd need automatic feedback (via mail) if something changes (i.e. I'd like to be able to subscribe to fishbowl wikis). We'd need something like version control, and much better sorting, indexing, and structuring of all the information. It can't be too hard to get that done, but certainly we are not there yet.
