Dear Scott,   Abdu'l-Baha did sometimes write in Ottoman Turkish but I don't know that Shoghi Effendi knew it. Keep in mind that the Guardian was educated first in Catholic and then in American Presbyterian schools. These schools emphasized Arabic literature, but not Turkish.
