[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |NEW ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-18-09 15:40 ------- Okay, let's try this again. I blank /etc/cups/printers.conf and I erase /etc/ptal/*. I rmmod printer, scanner, lp, parport_pc, and parport. I run printerdrake. It sets up the printer properly. I run it again, no duplicate entries. Loaded modules at this point are lp, parport, parport_pc. I can print and scan. I modprobe printer, and restart hpoj and cups. I can print and scan. I rmmod printer, modprobe scanner, and restart hpoj and cups. ptal-mlcd reports: "couldn't claim interface=2, couldn't set up MLC interface". I can not print or scan. I rmmod scanner, and restart hpoj and cups. Now I can scan again, but I still can't print. Cups reports HPpsc1200 is not ready. The only way I can get printing again is to delete the printer and run printerdrake again. How's that? Every time I run printerdrake, it adds another instance of that model to the list of printers. So if I run it three times, I get a list of three HP PSC 1210's connected to my system.
