I doubt it - I am often prompted for the data format when doing QIF imports.

Just out of curiosity is the word "Discover" somehow a protected word, function, directive or key word in the Gnucash code?  Everytime I import my Discover Card qif it asks me for the date format.  No other qif import does.

Both version 5.6 and 5.6-1 reject my credit card qif import with the
    following message:

"Missing QIF investment action for transaction dated 04/06/2024."

Reinstalled version 5.5 and imported the qif successfully.

        Hi Christopher

Thanks for resolving this so quickly.

I have successfully imported both my Bank Statement and Credit
        Card QIF
files on Windows 10 using this nightly build:

        gnucash-5.6-2024-04-06-git-5.6-9-gcab6173cd5+.setup.exe

If anyone is interested, this is the layout of my QIF files. Only the
first two transactions are shown.  Ignore the equals signs (=).
