Hi Beryl

This particular error is a problem with GnuCash version 5.6, and was resolved by one of the developers on Sunday:

https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-user/2024-April/111404.html

You have three choices:
(1) Downgrade to GnuCash version 5.5
        https://gnucash.org/download.phtml

(2) Upgrade to the latest nightly build that contains the fix
        https://code.gnucash.org/builds/

(3) Wait until GnuCash 5.7 is released.

Regards

Geoff

I have been importing QIF files into GNUcash successfully for several years.
However, for recent files, I am getting an error of ‘MISSING QIF INVESTMENT
ACTION FOR TRANSACTION DATED xx/xx/xxxx.  The erroneous transaction seems to be
the last of those imported.  The import will not complete.  I have had to
manually enter all the transactions.

I am downloading the files from Santander online banking.  Not sure if it is
Santander or Gnucash that’s the issue.
