Hi, Sorry for the off topic answer I was trying to think what I would recommend, and found that I would give different answers depending on the needs of the specific beginner. Do they want to try out the desktop environment, e.g. gnome KDE? Do they want to learn to be linux sys admins? Do they want to learn to program linux specific applications, drivers? Do they want to learn linux containers, virtulization? What type of beginner do you have in mind?
