I posted WSL without explaining what it was. I'm not sure whether I assumed people would know what it was, or whether anyone who didn't know what it was would also not know how to answer my question. Either way, yeah, I guess I should have spelled it out.
In my defense, WSL _is_ how the feature is usually referred to. It's even the command line that installs it.
