Bug#607877: ITP: openid4java -- This library allows you to OpenID-enable your Java webapp
Hi Miguel, Great ! Feel free to add yourself as co-maintainer and merge your work with the master branch. Send me a mail when your are co-maintainer and you think the package is ready and Ill have a look. Im travelling till sunday with low internet connectivity so if its fine for you, we go for a review sunday. Thanks for your work. Xavier. 2011/9/15 Miguel Landaeta mig...@miguel.cc Hello Xavier, On Tue, Aug 30, 2011 at 12:48 PM, Xavier Oswald xosw...@debian.org wrote: I didn't fix it right now. If you have a quick patch and need a sponsor, feel free to ask me. If you want the Reject reason, I can forward it to you. I believe I fixed the issue with .class and non-free material getting included in the source tarball. However, I also found a new upstream release, so I tried to package it but I noticed a new build dependency not available in Debian: Guice Framework. I prepared a package for guice and it was accepted in the archive today so I think the new upstream release of openid4java is ready to go and be included in the archive. I did many changes and because of that I created a branch named miguel. Feel free to merge it or to cherry-pick the commits that you consider necessary. I didn't add myself as co-maintainer but I obviously have some interest on this package. If you are OK with that I can join as co-maintainer. Let me know what do you think. If you don't have time to review the package, I can send an RFS to debian-java. I'm wondering about what happened to openid4java package since I remember seeing it at NEW queue on January 2011 but I couldn't find any FTPmaster reject or something. It was rejected dur to some .class files included in the package. I'm preparing a package with an optional Build-Depends on openid4java, so I have interest to know about the current status of this package. You can find the current package in the java team git. I don't know if you want to help packaging openid4java. Maybe you could join the java team and update it directly in the git. Or you can just clone it and give me the patch I can apply. Thx for you interest. I have some plan to improve openid4java packaging during this next month. Bug#607877: ITP: openid4java -- This library allows you to OpenID-enable your Java webapp
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Xavier Oswald xosw...@debian.org * Package name: openid4java Version : 0.9.5.593 Upstream Author : Sxip Identity Corporation * URL : http://code.google.com/p/openid4java/ * License : Apache-2 Programming Lang: Java Description : This library allows you to OpenID-enable your Java webapp OpenID starts with the concept that anyone can identify themselves on the Internet the same way websites do - with a URI. Since URIs are at the very core of Web architecture, they provide a solid foundation for user-centric identity. The first piece of the OpenID framework is authentication -- how you prove ownership of a URI. Today, websites require usernames and passwords to login, which means that many people use the same password everywhere. With OpenID Authentication, your username is your URI, and your password (or other credentials) stays safely stored on your OpenID Provider (which you can run yourself, or use a third-party identity provider). -- Xavier Oswald xosw...@debian.org GNU/Linux Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org/ GPG key ID: 0x464B8DE3 signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Hi, I can reproduce it too. Bug#601381: installation-reports: lenovo x201 laptop with d-i 20101025-09:05
Hi, I just got this new laptop today. I installed it with d-i daily build 20101104. Installation went fine except for these issues: * No wireless WPA2 support. I understand this won't be supported until squeeze+1 I didn't try to install with wireless. During network selection both ethernet and wireless devices were detected. * DHCP configuration did not work, I had to supply IP address manually DHCP just worked fine for me. * My Windows 7 partitions were not available in the grub boot menu, even though it recognized that win7 was installed. Running 'update-grub' manually resolved this. I removed all windows related stuff. So I cannot comment. Everything went fine. Bug#514765: debian-maintainers: Please provide reportbug templates so that this DM applications bug reports are templated

This would help to have similar setup for DM applications, I suppose. I'd love that. Now that jetring is not needed, a template would still be very useful to have machine-parsable reports. Do you have details/pointers on how to write such a template? I also had in mind to create a little web interface to submit requests, since I already have code for automatic signature verification on advocacy mails given their URL. Maybe the web interface is still better as it can provide immediate feedback. I'd like to evaluate all options, though. +1 I think having both, web interface and reportbug templates could be nice. But I think if we move the things, we should take care of doing this in a generic way. Im thinking here of NM and DM, we could process NM and DM application via reportbug and take care of extending this if we set in the future other status like Doc writer, graphists or such. As it is done for WNPP with some options... Bug#434772: add suggests / recomments to krb5-config
Hi, im using libauthen-simple-kerberos-perl in order to authenticate my Subversion repositories users against our Windows Domain Controller (Apache Webdav, Perl Handler). A simple checkout resulted in about ~600 connections (most of them ending up in TIME_WAIT after short time) to our Primary Domain Controller. Authentifaction did work but was slow as hell :) A bit of fiddling resulted in noticing /etc/krb5.conf was missing. After creating this file with the right settings, all went a bit smoother and the module didnt open hundrets of connections (i dont know why it does so if this config file is missing ..). I think recommending / suggesting krb5-config would be helpful (maybe also adding a short note to README.Debian or something..). Ok, thanks for these informations. I put a README.Debian file and Suggests: krb5-config to the control file in our svn repo. I hope it will be uploaded soon into debian. Greetings, -- ,''`. You now hold up two long ice blocks. Bug#409924: does not ship anything related to kerberos or smb authentification
On 17:16 Tue 06 Feb , gregor herrmann wrote: Hi, On Tue, 06 Feb 2007 17:13:51 +0100, Michael Ablassmeier wrote: For the time being I've changed the long description and added the Recommends: field in svn. Any thoughts? yep, that should do the job. Alright. Sorry for the noise regarding Authen::Simple::SMB which does indeed already exist. No problem. Is there any reason for Authen::Simple::Kerberos for not beeing uploaded yet? I'm not sure, hopefully the original packager or someone else from the Debian Perl Group will shed some light on the issue. I began to work on kerberos, the problem is that Authen::Simple::Kerberos is depending on Authen::Kerberos which is not in the archive and an other one if I remember. Authen::Simple::Kerberos and Authen::Simple::SMB will come soon ;) They are in my TODO list ! I hope to finish them next week friendly, -- ,''`.
