Thanks, it does seem to be a Cyberduck issue. I have now successfully managed to ssh via scp using an android phone application (andftp). Thanks for your help. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Can you make Logitech Media Server upsample to 176/24 or 192/24?

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Automatic brightness control
A new version has been uploaded to the beta repository. This has the extra option to disable the gradually decrease in brightness to safe the screen. You can test this version by adding the beta repository (http://server.vijge.net/static/squeezebox/repo-beta.xml). You first need to uninstall the current version, then install the beta version. 505's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93829 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Just Loaded MOG......WOW !.......Question on what this actually streams to the SBT...
I think MOG may be the best source I've ever had for music. If I would have known about this, I think I may have just skipped ripping my CDs. I now have over 1 million Albums in the cloud. All for $5 a month for my Touch. MOG streams a 320 kbps and sounds as good as my ripped CDs in lossless. They have quite a collection of quality re-mastered albums too. My question is; Does the Touch play the mp3 files directly or is there a conversion taking place on the touch? I have applied the soundcheck mods and am wondering the best way to handle MOG. I may never play anything else with the Touch! You hear no difference between high bitrate Mp3 and lossless, yet you bother with software tweaks? My question is; Does the Touch play the mp3 files directly or is there a conversion taking place on the touch? The Touch plays Mp3 natively. When LMS/Squeezebox does do some type of transcoding, it's always done by the server. It plays them directly. No conversion. I like MOG too and use it. but I have thousands of CDs that are not available in MOG. garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96123 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

JJZolx wrote: (The sound you hear is that of Cut-Throat's audiophile stripes being ripped from his uniform.) You hear no difference between high bitrate Mp3 and lossless, yet you bother with software tweaks? . It doesn't matter how high the bitrate is if it is a poorer quality recording to begin with. MOG has some very high quality recordings. I have lossless recordings that were made in the 1970's that are so bad that they are not listenable on my High Resolution Horn and SET amp System. I never had 'audiophile stripes', and I don't listen to 'Specs', I listen to music. I have plenty of Crap Lossless recordings that are far worse than the recordings from MOG's MP3. You need to spend a little time researching on how your recordings were made in the first place, not at how many bits that were stored and streamed to your stereo. You will find that it most cases it is irrelevant. Rosewind wrote: Hi Bob. Do you run LMS and Phil Leigh's modified version of Inguz on your NAS? Just curious as I would like to see if I could make the SB Touch feed my Metrum Octave DAC upsampled files. Best wishes, Peter Hi Peter, I tried over a long period of time to get Inguz working on my NAS but always failed. The web GUI and touch GUI appeared to function but the sound output never altered in any way. In the end I moved over to using a windows 7 based system and that works a treat. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] can you set duration of alarms?
dood wrote: Indeed, I hadn't thought of that. Now if by setting another alarm, the first one is cancelled, then theoretically to turn off I could set an alarm with a beep at the time that I want the SB turned off. Will give it a try. ok I set 3 alarms 2 minutes apart - radio station 1, radio station 2 and music tone. It changed from one to the other station with a beep and pause in between. unfortunately the third alarm using a music tone went on ad nauseum until I switched it off so this can't be used as an off alarm. I will experiment with some radio stations that don't play, and could use these as off alarms. dood's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56698 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96117 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
