Pour la même taille qu'un connecteur LC Duplex, au lieu de 2 brins on 
peut en avoir 12, ou 24, c'est un gain de place énorme. Quand on a un 
gros réseau et de gros débits...


Sans parler de l'utilisation d'optiques utilisant directement le 
connecteur MPO, mais n'étant pas un expert je ne saurais détailler plus 
les avantages comparatifs.

Well, it seems HFS480G32FEH-BA10A is a Hynix SE5031. I did not find its
specs but for different models, Hynix specs say that ID 198 is:
Offline Scan Uncorrectable Sector Count / The number of uncorrected
errors

It is maybe a bit worrisome but the normalized value of its attributes
is still at 100. This SSD does not seem to be (currently) dying. Do you
have ZFS on top of it? Have a look at its SMART attributes in a couple
of months.
I see that it is a Dell SSD. Do you have any contract support? You
could ask to their support what they think of it.

Je dirais que oui, c'est tout à fait normal vu l'âge du bouzin...

Personne n'ose le demander, mais utiliser un PE1850 en 2021, pourquoi,
pourquoi ? Est-ce que tu l'as trouvé dans un datacenter qui remonte le
temps ?

Je ne me moque pas, je trouve que ça a un certain style ! Je suis sûr
que si Huysmans écrivait « À rebours » en 2021, Des Esseintes
compilerait un clone de BSD/OS 5.1 sur un PE1850.

J'aimerais bien savoir pourquoi il y a besoin de mettre à jour le
firmware d'un machin aussi vieux !

Mais tu n'as pas peur de l'utiliser ? J'en ai déraqué un il y a
quelques années (je l'avais allumé pour je ne sais plus quelle raison),
le machin faisait, sans exagération, un bruit de tracteur soviétique
détraqué. Je serais inquiet de m'approcher sans lunette et casque,
et je ne le laisserais pour rien au monde alimenté sans surveillance.

Mais cette discussion aurait plus sa place sur FRsAG, car cela ne
concerne pas trop le réseau...

Un APC neuf ?

D'après mon expérience, c'est fiable, ça fonctionne, c'est simple, il n'y a pas 
de surprise.

J'ai essayé d'autres modèles d'autres marques (Eaton, Raritan) et je suis tombé 
sur des trucs bizarroïdes pas sérieux et qui font perdre un temps fou.

C'est possible également à PA2 ; je suis donc tenté de penser que c'est

I run PVE 5.2.

I hope it isn't a silly question but I searched quite long.

I want to view a firewall rule with the API and pvesh.
With
   pvesh get /nodes/toto/qemu/107/firewall/rules/
I can view that I have 6 firewall rules.

I can easily delete a rule with
   pvesh delete /nodes/toto/qemu/107/firewall/rules/7

I thought that I could view a particular rule but I can't have more
information than:
   pvesh get /nodes/toto/qemu/107/firewall/rules/5
   ┌─┬───┐
   │ key │ value │
   ├─┼───┤
   │ pos │ 5 │
   └─┴───┘

The API viewer describes "Get single rule data" still.
Is there a way to view the settings for a particular rule?


And a remark:
It's written on  that
pvesh "can be run interactively" (entering PVE shell) but it doesn't
work ("ERROR: no command specified").

I don't use the NAT mode that you find in the settings when you create
a VM.
The example "Masquerading (NAT) with iptables" from [1] works for me.
Choose an addressing for vmbr0 network (modify if
needed /etc/network/interfaces) and use bridged mode for your VM.
I prefer static addressing and never tried DHCP.

In the example "Masquerading (NAT) with iptables", VM are connected via
vmbr0. I don't known if I answer your question...

Do you do 'tcpdump -i vmbr0' ?

Yes! I use it. I had a little problem with NATing and PVE's firewall
but I solved it. For the beginning and troubleshooting, I advice you to
disable PVE's firewall.

De mon côté, mauvaise expérience également avec des Raritan DPXR20A-16
(je cite le modèle de mémoire mais je crois bien que c'est celui-ci)
concernant l'utilisation de SNMP pour un cycle marche/arrêt d'une prise.

Je ne me rappelle pas les détails, mais en gros :
- avec un précédent FW, le journal indique « failed to cycle » sans
  préciser pourquoi
- avec le dernier FW, le journal indique qu'il a réussi à « cycle » mais
  ça ne se réalise pas !
J'ai trouvé que faire la même mise à jour vers la dernière version deux
fois résout le problème (ce qui n'est pas indiqué dans la documentation
et paraît quand même très curieux).
(mais à un moment, un de ces Raritan ne parvenait plus à
couper/rallumer une prise et j'ai dû effectuer cette opération
de remise à jour, alors que je pense fortement que ça fonctionnait
auparavant)

Bref, l'interface Web est effectivement très sympathique avec beaucoup
de fonctionnalités mais ces gros bogues me font préférer la sobriété
des APC.

P.S. : J'oubliais presque de signaler également la CLI (du moins pour
l'accès par port série) très mal faite, manquant de fonctions et très
mal documentée. J'ai aussi un exemplaire dont j'ai perdu le mot de
passe et que je n'arrive absolument pas à réinitialiser (alors que j'ai
réussi pour d'autres).
Assez critique, donc.

I have this very iptables rule in interface's post-up rules and it
works... but I have issues with ARP as I told on

Je fréquente beaucoup de serveurs Dell et je confirme que ça met
beaucoup, beaucoup de temps à démarrer (et un R430 étant un modèle
récent, ça ne m'étonne pas du tout). « Oh, j'ai oublié d'appuyer sur
F11, je lance le redémarrage tout de suite et je vais me chercher un
café pour la suite ».
Mais c'est évidemment une appréciation toute relative ; ça paraîtra
peut-être rapide à une personne atteinte de catalepsie.

Quant au problème qui nous amène, je n'ai pas compris comment a été
configuré le contrôleur RAID, s'il a été mis en HBA ou pas, enfin
comment les disques sont vus (comme ceci dépend du modèle de PERC).

Est-ce que tous ces serveurs sont identiques, entre ceux pour lesquels
ça ne marche pas du tout et ceux pour lesquels seule la résolution DNS
échoue ?

Quelle est la carte réseau de ces serveurs ? Tu peux la voir avec la
commande lspci.
Il nous faudrait également le résultat de la commande ip address, au
minimum.

Je ne sais pas à quoi ressemble ce fichier texte, mais au pire ne
peux-tu pas l'ouvrir avec un éditeur de texte et faire un copier/coller
de ce que tu as écrit dans Reportbug, que tu relancerais ? Tu peux
aussi déclarer un rapport de bogue en envoyant un courriel, c'est très
bien documenté.

Yes, mine too. I have backup status sent by e-mail every morning. I had
once an e-mail when a backup failed because /mnt/vzsnap0/private was
read-only (I don't why, next backup was successful so I didn't check
farther).
But when the NFS storage was unavailable, the backups weren't made and
I didn't receive any e-mail.

ext4 est supporté par Debian Stable. Ton ordinateur familial est
peut-être en ext3. Ça pourrait être intéressant de convertir ton
système de fichiers /home. Je crois que ça se fait facilement.

 de la suite et le démarrage du système cafouille. C'est une chose à

CMdM : Nous utilisons différentes races de lapins domestiques, et ils

à la retraite à la campagne une fois trop âgés, où ils vivront
paisiblement jusqu'à leur mort naturelle.

LdlR : Ne risquent-ils pas de manger autre chose, comme les câbles dans
les baies non fermées ?

CMdM : Nous utilisons un aérosol à base d'urine de renard que nous
vaporisons sur les gaînes des câbles. Les témoignages indiquent que l'on
s'y fait petit à petit, ou bien en général le client installe des
portes sur les baies après le deuxième évanouissement.

LdlR : Êtes-vous sûr que ce système sophistiqué n'est pas plus coûteux
que de retirer les cartons à la main ?

CMdM : Vous pensez bien que nous avons très exactement étudié la
question et que Papy Russe l'emporte haut la patte.

Seule solution : on va tous troller sur fufe pour rendre modéré
fr.reseaux.internet.fournisseurs, ensuite on s'occupe de la

français châtié.
Après tous les gens iront sur frif plutôt qu'ici quand leur boîte
libre/gratuite ne marchera plus.
Cette liste de diffusion (FRnOG) deviendra un modèle du genre et NTTP
vaincra.

que NC ne pratique plus ce mauvais renseignement (que j'avais moi même

tort, donc ?)

Je reçois 89.2.0.1 et 89.2.0.2 de NC pour le DNS.

C'est un « disque dur USB », donc ?
Je commencerais par le libérer de sa prison et le brancher en IDE ou
SATA. Ça pourrait être le contrôleur USB qui a un soucis.
(J'aurais plutôt posé cette question sur fr.comp.stockage que sur une
liste Debian...)

Le K6-II devrait l'être mais pas le Pentium (si c'est un Pentium « tout
court »).
Je n'arrive pas à trouver de définition du 686, en fait.

I can wait about 30s, 1 min.
No proxy.

 Please close miro, try 'mv ~/.miro ~/.miro.bak' and then restart miro
 in an xterm and see if it helps.

I did. There is no real difference but a few lines in xterm (file
miro1).

Just after this test, I launched again Miro and then it worked. :-o
(file miro2)

But trying to launch it again, it didn't work anymore. (file miro3)

And after another test and a rm -r .miro/, miro ran directly but was
frozen.
A bug pretty nasty, so. :-/

 répertoires. Mais ça ne change rien

 Partly. Things are simpler when the server and your Sun are on the
 same network (there is absolutely no need to be directly connected,
