libwxbase 2.8.11 and libwxgtk2 are available in Ubuntu Natty and Oneiric. I
have confirmed that the Ubuntu package for 2.8.11 installed on Debian fixes
the crash issue in Ginkgo-CADx so you might want to consider porting the
Ubuntu version over to Debian.
