hesitate to update the respective part of the website as soon as the talk
is announced.

Calcite is a great project and it offers as a strong SQL engine to help

I have the impression too that Calcite is lesser known than other Apache
projects, but this is not that surprising to me given the nature of the
project itself, which requires in-depth knowledge of a rather complex
topic, which makes it is less prone to a casual use and plug adoption.

Hello everyone,
First of all, thanks for your work, Francis.
While I am relatively new in this community I must admit that I totally

The mailing list didn't have such activity three years ago when I started
learning about Calcite. Also more advanced topics and questions are posted
which, although makes it harder for me to participate, it definitely says a
lot about how much the project has advanced on both the technical and

Oops, that's a pity, I would also give a talk about Calcite on Flink Forward

Thank you for your great work, Francis!
In the past year, I deeply feel that Calcite community is becoming more and

I agree that we’ve made good progress on last year’s big problem, pull requests
languishing for too long. The situation has been better, because a few people
are putting in considerable effort reviewing. We still have some ways to go, so
let’s keep up the good work.

We have seen 3 releases so far for Calcite this year, with
