if the domain has an MX record there are some posibilities: Your network doesn't have the correct MX info for the domain. If you are able to run NSLOOKUP from your IMAIL server run it. then type set type=mx then type your domain name e.g.: domain.com it would tell you were the MX of that domain

It says helpdesk but the message went to the X-RCPT-TO address which was my boss's address. We don't know how the X-RCPT-TO address got there. If the RCPT TO: line was helpdesk, but IMail shows a xyz in the X-RCPT-TO: header, then IMail translated the address. Check the helpdesk

You may also want to suggest to them that they use a more sophisticated MUA that can preview headers and message sizes only, thus allowing for this selectivity to be done at the client side. I know that Outlook at least *used* to support this, though Outlook Express does
