Yep,
I tried to come up with something with Declude (you even gave some pointers)
but had no luck.
I'm just surprised and disappointed that no one is doing this.
Needless to say my knowledge of using tokens isn't well enough to write the
script on my own.
Thanks

What version of IMail are you running? the log snippet you sent shows the
start of one message and the requeueing of another...need more of the log to
see what's really happening

I have taken a look through the IMail list archives looking for a discussion
on Email Archiving. I can't find anything that I can sink my teeth into.
Is there anyone on the list willing to share what solution they are using to
archive their email. I'm sure that forces such as SOX, NASD3110 3111
The solution I have in place at 2 clients with Exchange servers is the
following: (Can be adapted, see further down.)
1. Setup an archive domain account.
2. Copy all e-mail to that account.
3. Run exmerge daily from that account to create a daily PST file.
4. The PST file gets burned to CD for
I just had a support customer complain our mail server has been listed on
the ORDB.org database and I have I-Mail set for relay for local users
only.
I'd suggest the text on the checkbox in IMail Admin be changed from:
Relay for Local users only
to:
Relay for local users and spoofed from
FAQ yadda yadda yadda.
This has been covered to death on this list as well as explained in the
manual.
Any one setting the relay settings without thoroughly investigating their
meaning...

Anyone have advice how to determine by checking the mail servers logs who
an email was sent to at AOL since AOL removes the address in their
notifications?
For example: I sent out on a subscription list for our local car club an
email notifying our members that a new newsletter was available
The TOS notices I get have the spam email attached so you can look at
the header info to get the imail message id. We use mxguard so it is
listed as 'X-mxGuard-Spool-ID'

Since they now also strip out all headers (they used to leave headers intact
so we used Declude's customer header ability to note the intended
recipient), the best thing to do is include an unsub link that has a unique
identifier for the particular user. Not sure if your mailing list

Is that not being removed now that AOL strips out all headers (as of a month

Try thunderbird and you'll see the header.

What is odd is the headers are there about 75% of the time.
Weird.

I sent the headers that were included in the email from AOL. The rest of

I am having this problem too. How can unsubscribe these fools if I don't
know who they are!
I see this in my header for the reported email:
Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
but when I search the log for that ID number, it shows up many, many times -
and most entries appeared to be MSN related,
unfortunately not. since most AOL people are naive to the internet, they
just click on a spam icon to report you. we've turned off all forwarding
to AOL by our customers because our own customers were reporting our
mail server as delivering spam to them. Fun, huh?

This is why, if you do the list mailing

do not always flag the spam on purpose. If they have set the filtering too
high, then it blocks false
Are
you using the IMail list thingie?

Since I am using IMail (this is an IMail forum) I am asking the question

Then it's hit or miss with AOL (since John reported
that sometimes the headers have come through for him...we haven't had as much
success with that as he has).
Didn't know if you hadn't added a real subscription
management system in lieu of the simple listserv in IMail, and just use IMail
