I'm delaying a fix for this. The reason is that bug #458881 is causing an FTBFS as well, so this is really hard to test. I'll try to fix it by porting the whole thing to gtk+-2. This is also a good idea, because gtk+-1.2 is getting really old, and it's probably a good idea to remove it at some
