Εγώ στον ssd μου δεν έχω swap. Έχω 4gb μνήμη. Σε οτι διάβασα δεν χρειαζεται. Πρεπει να κανεις αλλαγές στο fstab (αφαιρεσε το realtime και προσθεσε noatime) και επίσης απενεργοποιεις cache του firefox. Στον δισκο αφήνεις 4% του χωρίς να το μορφοποιήσεις για την καλύτερη λειτουργια του.
Δες στο wiki του arch που τα έχει αναλυτικοτατα. Επίσης, αν δεν βαριέσαι, δοκίμασε με αλλη διανομή να δεις αν το κανει και εκεί.
