First, Kathy, if you are asking how long the 12 mini will be supported, no one
knows exactly other than maybe Apple; however, considering the XR is a couple
years older than the 12 mini and it is able to run iOS 17, I would guess the 12
mini will be supported for at least 2 more years, if not more.

Terri asked a lot of questions.
First, as far as I can tell, for object identification and OCR the new 48 pixel
camera in the 15 pro won't make those functions any better. The higher the
pixels perhaps the better the picture for someone sighted but for the kind of
stuff most blind people need, you do not need that level of camera.

I would check with Apple about the USBC cable that will come with the 15 models
to find out if the end that goes into the charging block is also USBC, which I
suspect it is. That would mean you need a charging block with the USBC port
not the standard USB A port.

Note, the chip in the 15 and 15 plus is the same chip as in the 14 pro, so if
that is at all important to you, it will be less expensive to go with the 14
pro if you decide to upgrade this year.

I personally have the 13 pro and see nothing to make me want to upgrade to the
15 pro. I'll probably stick with this phone for several years and will replace
the battery when the time comes.

That is what I can remember to address in your questions.
Most decisions to upgrade are based on exactly what features you want.

For how much longer will this model be supported?
