Surprisingly enough, I haven't seen anything mentioned about the new kraftwerk release to celebrate the opening of some expo in Germany. It's an airy sounding funky track with all the kraftwerk ingredients (high Q snare, vocoder voices). I've heard someone mention that there's a whole new album coming out. Has it been released yet ?
Speaking of Kraftwerk... Karl Bartos has just remixed 'Little Computer People' (the track that Anthony Rother re-made). It's out now on PSI49NET 004.
But there was a rumour about them doing a 'Kraftwerk presents' where they hook up with US rappers like Foxy Brown, Juvenile, Kid Rock and some names I forgot, kinda re-doing the classics for the US.
Just got this on white label from HardWax in Germany. It's the shit! The Kid Rock track ('Pocket Calculator') has nice MC505 drums, and a cool Bon Jovi guitar loop.
