Can you give an exact definition of country, alternative, rock and roll, heavy metal, etc. no because it is almost impossible to describe music with exact definitions. Although music is categorized the only way to tell it apart is with your own ears. Whats drum and bass? hmm well it has drums and bass and breaks and vocals, but so do the other genres of electronic. Yet when you hear drum and bass you know it is drum and bass and not trance.
