Dave, As I am reading this, I guess I feel the need to ask: Are you in Europe or the United States? The best way to get your stuff over to Europe I've been told is to press it there. It comes back to the US as an import...but if that is your intended target, maybe start there?
There are lots of people to speak with about all this, but I think that the answers and your reality always seem to be different. If you want to sell the record vinyl then make it exclusive. I am certain that many of the listers here in the United States (who do business in Europe) could be of real help to you...and I think all of us artists/producers who have a goal of self-ownership/self-production (raises hand) have asked these questions before... This isn't the X-files, but the Truth is out there...
