I should say I did not buy this Hanf book yet. Actually, I doubt on buying it, 
as the cover contains a stock photo, which suggests the book might be a desktop 
theoretical essay on Detroit music and background, without visiting town nor 
speaking to artists. The book is limited to some 124 pages too, which helps me 
supposing this. But I guess it should be dedicated enough to help introduce 
those non-familiar to town and music to orient themselves a bit with.

louis digital (arcola/footwork and half of unspecified enemies) did a 
publication on techno & architecture years ago which always sounded interesting 
but i never took the time to really look for it, but i see it is available 
online now:
