Its not about Detroit techno. People on the list don't like the word "techno" it is more politically correct to use the term "electronic music" or "funk". Techno creates a conflict of interest to certain artist or individuals because Detroit techno represent the old Detroit electronic genre and its basically on its way out, now you have artist like Moodyman or Booty Bass taking center stage. Techno is mostly assosiated with artist like Adam bayer, Marco carola, ect... >But apparently its about mundane psychological effects. Well that and ass kissing and the usual politics associated with message list. Occasionally you do see some good 313 info posted on the 313 list. stephen.
