I generally prefer the quicker mixing myself (to listen to I mean). Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, DJ Bone (who I'm going to hear this w/e in Birmingham) but saying that you can't really mix House in the same way as Techno. Sneak chops it up a bit and I'm sure there are other Chicago DJs that mix House in a similar way, but generally house DJs seem to go for the smoother blend, which is fine. The style that I don't like is progressive / trance DJs that play 10min tunes. As I said in a previous thread, "journey or party?" - I know which I'd choose!
