I was disappointed to see Stacey in the backroom of the End a year ago. It was the Plus8 night with Mr C, Hawtin and Acquaviva in the other room. Stacey was playing a slow jamming house set and more or less sitting down.
I was gutted at this point because I had gone all the way to see him especially. I remember seeing him in 95-97 play sets at Voodoo and he was tearing it up. Very different style of djing, all top end mixing so it was like a watery sound just like his album in parts. This is a lot harder to mix like this as you can notice when the hats start to go out quicker than a kick but he was always premier league. Maybe he hasn't felt the need to perform as hard these days or suffering from a change in direction but I certainly wouldn't write him off. Fair enough though if you have seen him 4 times and he hasn't delivered for u. ----- Original Message ----- From: :P <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <313@hyperreal.org>; Niko Tzoukmanis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 2:31 AM Subject: Re: [313] RE: (313) RE: (313) stacey pullen - electric relaxation > is Staceys release work good? > > his the shittiest DJ I've even gone to see 3-4 times > > -Joe > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > R17 is not a fixed velocity, but it is clearly far too fast. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Niko Tzoukmanis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <313@hyperreal.org> > Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2002 7:43 AM > Subject: RE: [313] RE: (313) RE: (313) stacey pullen - electric relaxation > > > > r&s still exists, latest releases afaik is > > air frog 'bon voyage' with a remix by... > > stacey pullen ;O) > > > > At 12:41 24.01.02 -0000, you wrote: > > >Wow, the end of an era then.
