french kiss is def pre-90. i bought the album on tape in 88 when i spent a year in the states. this and the ten city album were the only chicago / detroit /techno / house things i bought at the time. i still get mad at myself when i think about it, i even was in chicago. now i have to hunt for all the stuff. oh well ...
i can perfectly understand that french kiss gets on your nerves, it did with me too, it's too obvious in a way. although since i have it on vinyl and listen to it more closely i rediscovered it. it has some nice and subtle production, the strings are alive for example. i wished there was some kind of a dub version. armin Phonopsia schrieb: > Is it me, or does this seem like it's post-'88?
