I don't know - I don't like the idea of revivals, they are way too trendy - if it gets popular there are going to be imitators and posers just trying to cash in because they don't have enough confidence in their own sound/style or they want to make more money. I don't think that an entire set of acid house nowadays is really that clever either. Sure, I love to listen to old acid house DJ sets but that was the cutting edge back then - it's not anymore. Not to say there isn't anything to be learned from them. I also don't want to hear new tracks that sound just like the old ones - you gotta do something new or you just sound like the "electroclash" synth pop rip-offs that are a dime-a-dozen now. I love acid house music but I'd rather hear it mixed into a set with a whole spectrum of music - using new tracks to bring out qualities in the old ones and vise-versa. I like the surprise of hearing an old tune that was all but forgotten - running up to the booth just to check and make sure it is such and such tune. I think music revivals sort of museum-ise the sounds - puts it into a time capsule - but that's not where it belongs - music is timeless and should be mixed into the rest of the musical timeline. There is no need for a acid house revival unless you are feeling you've lost the faith?
