I'm not sure whether I'd call it "heady" (because it's still pretty dancefloor-oriented), but I really dig the Barada full-length/2x12" "Strategies for a Deeper Design" on Definitive. It's pretty detroit-influenced with a bit of a funky disco/house feel to some of the tracks.
