as time goes on, I see there being less tolerance of the closed mindedness
of the detroit scene and I do hope that the detroit sound continues to
progress rather than using the same recipe over and over for club tracks. I
personally know a few well known european artists that want to play in
detroit, but there is generally no demand in detroit for anything that
strays too far from "detroit"

in the past, I believe this has helped to perpetuate the geographical
isolation of subcatagories of electronic music.

in light of this, I see the list as being a catalyst of the progression of
the sound. you all are spread across the world and while you like the
detroit sound, you are impervious to the influences of the area in which you
live. this is already resulting in some great music just from this list.
communication between creative people is always a great thing and diversity
is a key component of group creativity. I believe that the 313 list enables
communication of this sort.

I prefer "me first" to "me too"
